Virustotal is a site which provides file scan that identified a virus, trojan, or other malicious programs by online. The process of scanning is using various anti-virus engine (currently there are about 30 anti-virus), including Norton Antivirus, McAfee VirusScan, Kaspersky AVP, Grisoft AVG, Avira AntiVir, ClamAV, NOD32, and Panda Platinum.
First, we upload the file that we suspected. Once received Virustotal file, the file will be scanned with a variety of antivirus. Each time an anti-virus scanning to finish, then we can immediately see the results of the antivirus scan it. So on until all have antivirus turn.
